Fremont, Ohio, November 28, 2018 – The Terra State Board of Trustees and President Dr. Ronald Schumacher have agreed on three-year contract.  The agreement is in effect until 2021.  Dr. Schumacher served as Interim President for five months following the resignation of Dr. Jerome Webster.  Prior to that, he was the College’s Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Terra College Foundation.
With Dr. Schumacher at the helm, the College has had many impressive accomplishments:

  • The College has a budget surplus
  • The Landings at Terra Village opened when the College hosted its first Move-In Day
  • The College received a USDA grant for the creation of the Leadership Center
  • Faculty contract negotiations were amicably delayed until a new President was named

“There are a lot of opportunities at Terra State,” Schumacher stated.  “If the College simply keeps what is best for our organization, faculty, staff and students at the heart of every decision, we will not make a bad decision.  If we stay true to that, we will have everything turned around much faster than expected.”
