Job Description
Job Summary:
The Northern Ohio Educational Computer Association (NOECA) has an immediate opening for a Student Services Support Specialist.  Software support experience, particularly with the ProgressBook Suite of products, is highly desirable.  Experience with other Student Information systems also a plus.
    •     Associate degree in computer technology or related area; or minimum of two years related experience                            and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.                   
    •     Successfully pass a B.C.I. and F.B.I. background check.
    •     High moral character and good attendance record.
    •     Outstanding customer relations skills essential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
     •     Language Skills:  Capability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing to interact        positively with schools and customers.  Effectively write reports and procedure manuals.  Comfortable as a trainer to present information and respond to questions from individual customers or groups of                 customers.
    •      Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations       where only limited standardization exists.  Able to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals and                  documentation.
    •      Other Skills and Abilities:  Capable of handling a multitude of responsibilities with minimal supervision.      Ability to perform duties with awareness of all organization requirements and policies.  Ability to work          cooperatively and harmoniously with many individuals of varying backgrounds and to handle information         professionally and confidentially.  Experience with office and administrative software applications.            Familiarity with computer systems and ability to use associated equipment.

  • Acquire expertise in Student Services software applications, Educational Management Information System (EMIS) and related packages.
  • Responsible for rapid detection and solution of student software usage problems.
  • Develop and provide effective training of customers and provide solutions to customer concerns.
  • Attain expertise in software products and utilities to enhance and supplement student software programs and reports.
  • Attend to additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Some travel may be required to client locations and for job related conferences that could extend overnight.

·         Be open to new methods and ideas.
Position: Full Time
Compensation:  Commensurate with education and experience
